Renting with Treveth
Our open market rental housing is owned by Treveth and leased to a tenant. Treveth Homes is the landlord, and tenants deal directly with a management company caring for the property on our behalf. Tenants occupy the properties under a tenancy agreement and pay full market rent.
Open market rental homes for Cornish people
Treveth’s open market rental homes are for local people who live, work, or have a family connection in the immediate vicinity of each site. All applicants need to provide proof of a connection to the local area by meeting one of the following criteria:
- Having been a permanent resident in the local area for a continuous period of at least 12 months prior to advertising
- Having been a permanent resident in the local area within the last three years and for a continuous period of at least 12 months
- Having one or both named tenants in established employment (16 hours or more) within the local area
- Having one or both named tenants relocating to the local area for employment reasons (16 hours or more)
- Being an existing tenant of Treveth Homes and in need of an increase or decrease in accommodation size. You will be prioritised for re-lets if available, subject to previous good tenancy behaviour
- Having a connection through a close family member (normally mother, father, brother, sister, son, or daughter) where the family member is currently a resident in the local area and has been so for a continuous period of at least five years
